About this course
The Anatomy course at the University of Jordan is designed specifically for pharmacy students. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts of human anatomy, essential for understanding the structure and function of the human body in the context of healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.
Focusing on core topics such as the skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems, students will develop the skills to identify and describe the major anatomical structures and their relevance to human physiology and pharmacology. The course emphasizes the relationship between anatomical features and their clinical significance, helping students connect their knowledge to practical applications in drug therapy, patient care, and disease management.
The course also covers specialized areas such as the gastrointestinal, endocrine, and renal systems, allowing students to appreciate how different body systems interact and respond to pharmacological treatments. Under the guidance of expert faculty, students will engage in laboratory sessions using anatomical models, diagrams, and case studies to reinforce their understanding of human anatomy in both academic and professional healthcare settings.
By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in human anatomy, equipping them for further studies in fields such as physiology, pathology, and clinical pharmacy. This course will also prepare them to confidently apply anatomical knowledge in their future careers within the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, and healthcare sectors.
